Cart before the horse: system QA and data QC practices for sensor networks
Starting from the experience of the ESIP EnviroSensing Cluster , a workgroup within the Earth Science Information Partners Federation. which has grown to include a wide range of scientific and agency participants. The mission of ESIP is to pursue best practices and solutions for in-situ sensor observation of environmental processes. The Cluster produced a Best Practices document for sensor network deployments in 2014, and assembles once a month for web calls on cluster projects and guest presentations. The EnviroSensing Cluster is an open, inclusive, and collaborative community that seeks to better science and engineering related to observations in the natural environment.
