TranscodX™ is the future of dataloggers. This auto-programmable sensor platform can:
capture its deployment context metadata to annotate the data from attached sensors,
relay the results to a series of integrated online tools for data management.
TranscodX™ is an auto-programmable device to capture, and stream sensor data and corresponding metadata in a network or to an embedded data management and curation framework. It further supports the capture, integration and processing of community-defined semantics and syntax using controlled vocabularies needed to enable data discovery and interoperability.
TranscodX™ promotes the seamless consolidation of field instruments and a standard data management and curation system. It is designed to eliminate inconsistencies and incompatibility regarding annotation extents and the choices of the semantics and syntaxes during the programming and data collection processes by dataloggers.
TranscodX™ is powered by the Transcoder Configuration and Auto-programming Software Tool (TCAST), a software tool that enables the capture of station and sensor metadata at the outset of the deployment process.
